How California Closets Did It
Working with California Closets design consultant Megan Garcia and interior designer Brigette Romanek, Misty transformed an extra bedroom in her New York City apartment into a walk-in closet/dressing room that reflects “relaxed grandeur, not precious, pretty, dreamy.”
Open cabinets with matte gold hanging rods display her gorgeous collection of dresses, while a panel of shoe shelves showcase her artful stilettos. A large island in the middle of the room serves as a spot for hair and makeup with ample natural light from the room’s windows. Serving as another fun feature, a panel of three mirrored cabinets conceals more shoe and bag storage and transforms into a three-way mirror so Misty can see an outfit from every angle.
Working with California Closets was great. We tried to give her exactly what she needs and what she wants. There is a place for dresses, for shoes, full-length mirrors, a generously sized island, and a spot for glam with good natural light...a lot of thought went into it.
