What Jenny Cipoletti Wanted

When writer, content creator, and style blogger Jenny Cipoletti moved into her new home outside of New York City, she dreamed of having a spacious closet.

When the timing was right, she decided to convert one of the brownstone’s four bedrooms into a custom walk-in closet where she could finally store and showcase her beautiful wardrobe and accessories from her years working in the fashion world. Her vision: a personal boutique that she could “shop” every day and share with her followers.

When I watched Clueless at 12 or 13 years old, I remember seeing Cher’s closet and thinking – one day, I want a closet like hers. What 13-year old didn’t?!

How California Closets Did It

Jenny worked with California Closets Northern New Jersey design consultant Shellie Topper to make her dream closet a reality. Based on wardrobe pieces she wanted to highlight, the two collaborated on an impressive design that incorporated a shoe wall, open shelving and cubbies for Jenny’s handbag collection, and a vanity area for jewelry, sunglasses, and accessories.

Shellie suggested a combination of shaker-style cabinet doors with classic glass inserts for sweaters and other folded clothing. Deep hanging areas, crown molding, and lucite and brass hardware further added to the space’s stylized look, achieving the boutique-like feel Jenny envisioned.

With her dream closet complete, Jenny begins and ends her day in a space she truly loves. Everything has a place and the custom design reflects her personal style — elegant, feminine, and timeless.
