The ever-fashionable Brittany Sjogren writes daily about wardrobe tips for her blog, Loverly Grey. When Brittany and her husband moved into their new home, she couldn’t wait to reimagine a spare room into her very own closet and workspace. Collaborating with California Closets Atlanta designer Melody Rosen, Brittany chronicled the design process for her readers in true Loverly Grey style.
To create a boutique-like feel, Melody created a clean design with adjustable shelving to give Brittany the ample storage and flexibility she needed, while a classic white finish perfectly complemented Brittany’s colorful clothing and accessories. Melody added a center island, which provided additional drawer storage and counter space for displaying personal items. Working together on all the little details, Melody and Brittany also decided on custom benches under the windows so Brittany could sit (while trying on shoes!), and glass doors to showcase Brittany’s pretty accessories and handbags. Finishing touches—including brass hardware and crown molding—gave the entire room a chic, finished appeal.
