Message from Charlie E. Chase, President & CEO
At California Closets our Credo is “Designing Better Lives.” But we also know that our purpose runs much deeper — it extends well beyond our clients to the greater communities in which we live and serve.
For many years, we have proudly supported national, regional, and local charities, as well as numerous community service activities. In fact, the need to “give back” is deeply entrenched and provides a sense of pride and personal fulfillment, as evidenced by our response to the challenges faced in Puerto Rico, Florida, and Texas, after the 2017 hurricanes.
Recognizing that social responsibility is in our collective DNA, California Closets has joined forces with our parent company, FirstService Corporation, and all FirstService companies, in the creation of the FirstService Relief Fund. Available to our team members when they need emergency funding due to a natural disaster or an unforeseen personal hardship, it can provide critical support when needed most.
Relying primarily on individual donations from employees, franchises, and employees of franchises, the FirstService Relief Fund also garners financial support from California Closets and FirstService Corporation. While every single contribution can make a difference, when combined they can provide the extra support needed when one of our own is facing the unexpected.
Since many FirstService companies operate in the same geographic area and are host to community service and charitable events on a regular basis, we encourage cross-company involvement. To facilitate this, we share a community service calendar, keep it updated with local activities and invite all those at California Closets to get involved.
I couldn’t be more excited and proud that these initiatives are unfolding at California Closets. It underscores our commitment to being responsible corporate citizens and enables all of us to do more.
Charlie E. Chase, President & CEO, California Closets
